Swiss Infantry Sword, Type 1831/52.
Symmetrical, one-piece brass-cast hilt with a grip featuring 25 ridges. Blade with a central groove on both sides, 48.8 cm long, marked “ F. HÖRSTER SOLINGEN ”. Leather scabbard with brass fittings and its original scabbard holder in good condition. Total length 66.5 cm.
The absence of other markings indicates that this is a so-called “officer’s private purchase” item.
