Model created by Florence Knoll in 1961. The four-branch metal base supports the tabletop. The Knoll signature is present on the base.
The Calacatta marble top has been repolished, with a varnished matte finish.
The Knoll company, founded in 1938 by her husband, owes much of its success to Florence Knoll (1917–2019), who integrated furniture designed by architects such as Eero Saarinen and Mies van der Rohe into the American firm's collection. An architect herself, she developed her own interpretation of minimalism and rationalism in her furniture designs, as illustrated by her conference table and various sideboard models designed in the 1960s.
