NANTES 1763–1764 by Jean Antoine I LUMINEAU
Tulip-shaped model, resting on a pedestal with ovals and an Amati base. Discreet surname on the rim of the base: “I Chevallier.”
The body is richly engraved with alternating large leaves and lambrequins on an Amati background; the neck is accented with fillets and a finely engraved frieze.
The engraving is in very fine condition.
Timbales of this type are rare in Brittany, and even more so with a base edged with ovals; beautiful hallmarks
