JORGEN JENSEN (1895–1966)
Jorgen Jensen was the second son of Georg Jensen and also a silversmith. He trained with the German silversmith Leonhard Ebert and studied at the City School of Arts and Crafts in Munich. He then trained at the Georg Jensen silversmithy and was a member of the company from 1917 to 1923. Afterward, until 1936, he ran his own workshop in Stockholm but rejoined Georg Jensen in 1936 and worked there as a silversmith until 1962. He designed jewelry and hollowware, and his pieces show an evolution from early forms reminiscent of Johan Rohde to straighter lines and less ornamentation, more closely resembling the work of Sigvard Bernadotte.
