Rare 19th-century cane with a beautiful18-karat gold pommel decorated with garlands of flowers and ribbons.
Greek physician’s head hallmark used between 1838 and 1919 and a goldsmith’s hallmark that is difficult to decipher.
Two eyelets, also made of gold.
The shaft is made of rosewood, a precious wood prized for its density and beauty.
Metal ferrule replaced at a later date.
It is in very good condition.
It measures 91 cm.
A prestigious cane that would be a fine addition to a collection or for everyday use.
