Saint Louis 1928 – Suite 12 Roemers Tommy Crystal 6 Doubled Colors

Exceptional suite of twelve Roemer “Tommy” model glasses in crystal from the prestigious Cristallerie Saint Louis, model dating from 1928 – an extremely rare collector's item of absolute elegance. This series brings together six characteristic colors of the Saint Louis house, presented in matching pairs: amethyst, cranberry red, light turquoise blue, cobalt blue, emerald green and chartreuse. Each chalice is made of doubled crystal (overlay), finely cut into tapered lancets topped with circular olives, resting on a colorless diamond-cut belt (hobnail), testimony to the incomparable know-how of the artisans of Saint Louis. The slender stem, quadrangular and colorless, is decorated with a faceted knot at the junction with the chalice, while the flat foot is decorated with a radiating star cut of great finesse. Height: 19.8 cm. Each glass bears the authentic “Cristal Saint Louis France” stamp under the base. Perfect condition, without chipping or cracking. For comparison, this model is still marketed today by Saint Louis at €360 per unit, i.e. a catalog value of more than €4,300 for the whole.
