Joseph Mougin “épis à Perles” Vase, 130.j Art Nouveau
A beautiful polychrome glazed stoneware vase by Joseph Mougin (1876–1961), Nancy, model 130.J, known as “Épis à perles.”
A slender conical form resting on a wide circular base, decorated with a rich relief decoration of stylized leaves and ears of grain, punctuated by beaded motifs. Beautiful polychrome in shades of turquoise blue, celadon green, mauve, cream, and yellow-green, with subtle crystallization effects.
The vase has incised signature “Mougin Nancy,” “J. Mougin,” and “130.J” on the underside:

In excellent condition. No cracks, chips, or restoration.
