This original is inscribed on the mat to Dr. Leboucq, one of the founders of the laboratory responsible for this publication.
Jean Droit, born on August 28, 1884, in Laneuveville-devant-Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle, France) and died on December 7, 1961, in Vincennes, was a French painter, illustrator, and writer, and the father of Michel Droit. His posters, and later his illustrations, published by numerous magazines and in luxury books, were universally known and appreciated. His works, often marked by the refinement of the Belle Époque, a subtle touch of romanticism, and a precision that was at times a bit… affected but always so moving, reveal, through his great artistry, his entire personality.
