Inlaid Mahogany Folding Table - England, 19th Century; England, Mid-19th Century
A mid-19th-century English-made mahogany folding table, featuring an oval top veneered in walnut and burl walnut. The top is richly inlaid with floral compositions and volutes in various woods, arranged both centrally and along the border. The central leg, turned and carved, extends to four curved feet—also carved—that end in scrolls. There are some minor chips in the tabletop, which do not detract from the piece’s overall elegance. This table is a fine example of Victorian-era English craftsmanship, ideal for enhancing classic interiors with a touch of refined historic charm.
