Augis - Gold, Diamond, And Ruby Love Medal
An 18-karat yellow and rose gold "Medal of Love" signed by the renowned Augis house.
On the front, the inscription reads “+ qu’hier et – que demain.”
The “+” in white gold is set with a diamond, and the “-” with three rubies.
The reverse side of the medallion is blank (engraving available for an additional fee).
This expression, well known to romantic lovers, is a line from a poem by Rosemonde Gérard dedicated to her husband, Edmond Rostand. It was made famous by Alphonse Augis, a jeweler from Lyon who, in 1907, had the idea of creating a medal engraved with this verse. This phrase has since become a powerful symbol.
