Lxv-style Piano Stool In Gilded Wood, Late 19th Century
Gilded wooden piano stool decorated with scallop shells on the crossbars and the tops of the legs; the bases of the legs feature an inward-curving design; the crossbar is slightly arched; the seat is upholstered with a fabric cushion and cane weaving in good condition. Note that some of the gilding is missing, though this lends the stool a certain charm. Dates from the late 19th century.
