Louis XVI-style Trophy-shaped Door-top Panel—solid Oak, Finely Carved In Relief
Richly carved oak panel featuring a motif of gardening tools and fruit in a basket, held in place by a ribbon. Louis XVI-style piece crafted in the 19th century.
The high-relief carving is of very fine quality; the panel consists of four boards, and the motifs are carved from a single block of wood—not added as separate pieces and nailed onto a smooth background, as is often the case. This sets it apart from standard-quality wood paneling, which tends to be simpler and less ornate.
This panel can be installed above a door, as shown in the staged photo, or used as a trumeau or central panel. Upon request, we can also have this panel framed with a wide 18th-century-style wood frame, ready to be painted.
In very good condition; the panel can be repainted to match your room’s color scheme or stripped to reveal its natural oak finish.
