Neo-renaissance Sideboard In Ebonized Walnut, Italy, Late 19th Century
A Neo-Renaissance-style sideboard made of ebonized walnut, dating from the late 19th century in Italy. The base of the sideboard features four drawers beneath the top, finely carved with foliage motifs, ornamental volutes, and central handles depicting lion heads. Below the drawers, four paneled doors feature carvings of central fruit vases, enriched with swirling leaf motifs and garlands of fruit that fill the panels. The side posts are decorated with cherub heads and fruit motifs below, while the vase-shaped legs feature scroll carvings. The upper section of the sideboard features a shelf supported by four shelf brackets and carved panels. The interior is made of fir and beech, ensuring strength and durability over time.
