A very beautiful antique Limoges enamel plaque depicting the Virgin and Child with the Lamb, based on a work by William Bouguereau titled Virgin of the Lamb.
The plaque is signed “F. Norniond” or “Normand” in the lower right corner and bears the inscription “after W. Bouguereau” at the bottom.
High-quality enamel on copper with its original frame.
The frame is in its original condition with numerous signs of wear, missing paint, and cracks and chips visible in the photographs.
The plaque is in excellent condition.
