"reliquary" Pendant With Relics - 18th Century

An interesting 18th-century oval-shaped pendant reliquary, set in a metal frame with a serrated border and fitted with its own hanging ring.

One side features a delicate arrangement of relics arranged in the shape of a flower, surrounded by narrow strips of paper bearing handwritten inscriptions, now partially faded. In the center, a small heart-shaped element completes the composition.

The reverse is adorned with a painted religious image depicting a sacred figure holding a child in her arms; it retains a beautiful antique patina and signs of wear consistent with its age.

The protective glass on the reverse is missing.
