Large oak artist’s easel, dating from the 19th century.

A particularly decorative model, entirely crafted in wood, with a three-legged structure and elaborate carved and pierced decoration. The upper section features symmetrical curves and cut-out motifs, while the uprights terminate in shaped pointed ends.

The picture support, also carefully shaped, features two recessed sections designed to hold and support a painting. The easel retains its original metal mechanism used to secure the opening of the rear leg.

Beautiful patina to the oak, with signs of wear consistent with its age. The detailed photographs show the construction and decorative woodwork.
