A William IV sterling silver teapot, Paul Storr for Storr & Mortimer, London, 1834?

Of compressed circular form, the body with bold vertical fluting to the lower section and a plain polished upper band, raised on a spreading circular foot. The hinged domed cover with matching radiating flutes and fitted with a lobed finial, the scroll wooden handle and finial mounts designed to insulate from heat. The slender tapering spout of elegant proportion.
