Franklin Mint 18k Gold Brooch With Pearls And Diamond, "lily Of The Valley", 1985
This 18-karat (750) gold brooch was created in 1985 by the renowned American jewelry studio The Franklin Mint, its nature-inspired design realised with precise craftsmanship in fine materials.
An openwork leaf structure, formed by graceful gold lines following the natural movement of the plant, carries natural pearls arranged along a central stem and upper arc to evoke a flowering sprig of lily of the valley. A single round brilliant-cut diamond, set among the leaves, adds a subtle point of light to the composition.
The brooch belongs to the "Nature Inspired" jewelry trend of the 1980s, reinterpreted here in more modern, sculptural forms. During this period, The Franklin Mint collaborated with well-known jewelers to produce limited-edition 18-karat gold pieces noted for their manufacturing quality and artistic value. It suits both classic and contemporary minimalist styling. Bears the maker's mark; hallmarked by the Lithuanian Assay Office.
