A type of saber common in the 19th century in the provinces of Tonkin (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China). 

Curved blade with a single edge that tapers toward the tip. A brass star is inlaid near the tip.

Handle made of two bamboo plates covered with rattan.

Ring pommel.
