A very pretty pair of
Napoleon III-era oriental armchairs,
in blackened wood, and gilded wood
and fabrics printed with paisley patterns
the designs are very slightly different
for the black one
the lacquer is partially faded, but this gives this little chair an extra touch of charm
for the gilded one
the frameframe in leaf-gilded wood
upholstered in a silky fabric, frayed in places
signs of wear and restoration at the edges; the gilding is worn in places
