Antique platinum ring featuring an oval-shaped setting that holds a natural sapphire in a closed-set mount at its center. A border of 8/8-cut diamonds encircles the central gemstone.

The bezel is openwork, and on either side of the stone, the base of the band is adorned with 2x2 8/8-cut diamonds.

The ring is stamped “970” on the inside.

Period: 20th century
Main material: platinum, dog’s head hallmark.

Sapphire weight: approximately 5.47 carats. Natural, unheated, untreated sapphire from the mines of Ceylon, accompanied by its laboratory certificate.

Total diamond weight: approximately 0.30 carats.

Dimensions: Height: approx. 16.3 mm, width: approx. 13.4 mm, thickness: approx. 6.5 mm, width of the ring at the base: approx. 1.4 mm.

Net weight: approximately 4.5 g.
