A large and powerful Arçon or Cavalry pistol, formerly a flintlock that was militarily modified to a percussion system, likely of German origin, which most likely arrived here during the War of 1870.

Condition:
Mechanism is functional but there is some play in the hammer
A crack has been filled in on the underside near the hammer (see photos)
