La Margeride - Blown-glass Ring-shaped Flask Decorated With Mascarons, 18th Century
A spectacular ring-shaped blown-glass flask featuring, on each side, a design of five male faces in the form of mascarons; the sides are adorned with two thick ribbons formed with pliers and fused onto the glass while hot; the neck is embellished with a fluted band.

Surviving pieces from this Cantal factory can be recognized by their pinkish discoloration, the result of the many manufacturing formulas experimented with during the 18th century, most of which were unstable over time.
In good overall condition. The mascarons are complete, with the exception of one located at the bottom right, which has a visible chip visible in the photographs. The side ribbons are intact, as is the neck.
