A rosewood secretary desk with inlay of various woods, France, late 18th century. The body is entirely paneled with herringbone panels set within inlaid Greek fret frames. On the front, two doors and one door opening onto four compartments and six small drawers. One drawer under the top. Inlaid pilasters and truncated pyramid-shaped legs with metal caps. Marble top.
