Copy number 27 on Gaspard-Maillol paper (a total of 225 copies printed). Copy on Imperial Japan paper accompanied by a suite and an early black-and-white state, as well as an original color drawing by Jean Bruller. The book is signed by Jean Bruller on the second blank page. A very fine copy. Jean Bruller, known as Vercors, born in 1902 and died in 1991 in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, was a French illustrator and writer. He adopted the literary pseudonym Vercors in 1941 during the Resistance. Thereafter, he retained his surname for his work as an artist and his pen name as his writer’s name. His most famous novel is *Le Silence de la mer*, published clandestinely in 1942.
