Italian Stained-glass Chandelier From The 1940s
Eight-light stained-glass chandelier, with each light mounted on an electrified faux candle that houses a small E14 lamp holder.
The eight sinuous arms are arranged around the central stem, which is composed of overlapping elements, and terminate in faux candles and small plates (bobèches) made of glass with a design typical of post-World War II glassware.
The piece has been restored with exemplary care, restoring the transparency and brilliance of the glass to its original condition.
Although this is a “budget” postwar production, imitating the more prestigious Murano blown-glass models, this type of chandelier is now rarer than its blown-glass counterparts, as most of the molded pieces have been lost or neglected over time.
This rarity, combined with a meticulous restoration, gives the piece significant decorative and historical value.
Condition: excellent, following a complete restoration. The glass exhibits remarkable transparency and luminosity.Fully functional and ready for installation.
