19th-century Floor Lamp
Art Nouveau / Napoleon III-style floor lamp, late 19th – early 20th century. The highly ornate base and floral motifs are typical of this period.
Materials
- Shank and structure: Gilded brass or bronze with a beautiful antique patina. The work is finely chiseled with volutes, foliage, and plant motifs.
- Base: Trilobed tripod base in white marble or onyx. The legs end in brass feet.
- Reservoir: Urn-shaped central section, decorated with relief motifs and pendants. This is likely a former kerosene lamp that has been converted to electricity.
