Louis XVI Nesting Tables In Mahogany And Carrara Marble
Louis XVI-style nesting tables consisting of three retractable pieces. The base is made of solid mahogany, tapered and fluted, and finished with gilded bronze feet. The band is adorned with brass rings; the rectangular Carrara marble tops are surrounded by a gilded brass frame engraved with striations. These tables slide under the largest one using sliding rails. They can be arranged in a staircase formation or kept separate. The set is in very good condition; the marble tops show no stains or cracks.
