The piece is lavishly adorned with high-quality chiseled and gilded bronze fittings, including superb corner finials decorated with mascarons, drop handles, lock plates, and an elegant openwork apron. The piece as a whole attests to remarkable cabinetmaking craftsmanship.

The top is crowned with a magnificent, perfectly fitted original red veined marble slab, which highlights the refined character of this piece.
