Rare commemorative medal in silver-plated metal, signed by Hansi (Jean-Jacques Waltz, a famous Alsatian artist), produced on the occasion of the 8th Congress of the National Union of Importers of Coal by Land and River in France, held in Colmar in December 1935.The obverse features a design typical of the Art Deco period, with a floral motif framing the inscriptions and a coat of arms adorned with crossed hammers and a miner’s lamp, symbols of the coal industry.
