Late 18th-early 19th Century Painted Neoclassical Bookcase
Refined fir bookcase is intricately carved and painted
in tempera in shades of gray, white, and pink. The upper structure of the
bookcase comprises three rows of round arches, adorned with decorative lateral
pilasters, and bracketed feet. Below the upper section are three protruding
shelves, closed by hinged doors, ideal for storing items that are not on
display, ensuring practicality and ergonomics. The bookcase is extremely
spacious, with fabric-covered shelves and the option of adding up to nine in total,
distributed both on the front and inside the doors. The refined elegance of
this piece is accentuated by the tempera painting, which alternates colors and
lends a touch of elegance to the entire piece. This tasteful and elegant
bookcase will add a touch of class and antique appeal to any space.
