Description
Immerse yourself in the dazzling light of a Burgundian spring! In *Orange Spring Sky* (1995), Georges Hosotte unleashes the full expressive power of his talent to capture the magical moment when nature bursts with life.
A glowing sky, with flamboyant shades of orange, pink, and purple, dominates the rolling landscape. In the foreground, fruit trees in full bloom spread their branches laden with white and pink flowers, while the lush greenery and ochre hues of the cultivated fields shimmer in the light.
In the distance, a picturesque village with its bell tower nestles into the hillside, adding a touch of serene humanity to this symphony of color.Hosotte excels in his mastery of explosive color and generous brushwork: dynamic impasto, splashes of paint, and bold contrasts create an effect reminiscent of a reimagined Impressionist style, where light becomes the true subject of the painting.
This generously sized work (73 × 60 cm) perfectly embodies the artist’s mature period, in which his passion for the seasons of the Yonne and Burgundy translates into an explosion of joy and vitality.A major decorative piece, ideal for brightening a contemporary or classic interior.
A true ode to spring’s rebirth!
