Antique "Electric" Table Bell by J.P. Paris, Mother-of-Pearl and Gilded Bronze, 19th-Century Palais-Royal
Superb and authentic mechanical table bell from the Palais-Royal, dating from the late 19th century, the Napoleon III era and the Belle Époque
Magnificent gilded bronze or brass frame with openwork trellis design
featuring a beaded frieze and scrollwork, adorned with superb genuine mother-of-pearl cabochons set into the body and suspended as pendants
A silver-plated metal dome finely engraved with herringbone guilloché patterns, topped by a push button with a mother-of-pearl ball.
On the underside of the base, it bears the complete original inscription stamped: NOUVEAU TIMBRE J.P. DIT ÉLECTRIQUE BREVETÉ S.G.D.G. PARIS
This is a purely mechanical mechanism wound by a key; the original key is included. The name “dit électrique” refers to the rapid, continuous ringing that imitates the first electric doorbells of the era.

In very good aesthetic condition with its original patina. All mother-of-pearl components are present and intact, which is rare for this model. The mechanism is complete and functional
