A superb American-style desk in walnut.
Made in Paris by Charles Delaunay, a cabinetmaker from the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, around 1900.
It bears the prestigious mark of this workshop: Franco Américain. It was under this name that Charles Delaunay produced luxurious American-style writing desks with drop-leaf tops, such as ours (see photo of the brand plate).
Made of high-quality walnut.
Original waxed patina.
Very good condition.
Easily disassembles and reassembles.
