Paul DARBEFEUILLE was born on October 5, 1852, and died on October 27, 1933, in Toulouse. He was a French sculptor and painter, a student of Pierre Jouffroy, Alexandre Falguière, and Antonin Mercié. He primarily created allegorical works. He won a bronze medal in 1900 at the World’s Fair and a gold medal in 1928.
A street in Toulouse is named after him. One of his statues, *La Folie*, is on display at the Louvre.
