Library staircase on casters, late 19th / early 20th century
Large, mobile wooden library staircase, likely from a library, archive, or department store. Made of dark-stained wood, likely oak or beech, with an open-sided railing structure and a sturdy handrail running along the steps.
The lower section is fitted with four original cast-iron wheels, which allowed the staircase to be moved across the floor.
In very good condition. Beautiful color and patina.
