A beautiful piece of 18th-century silverware, fully hallmarked with the crowned letter “A” for Paris, Julien Berthe, farmer-general from 1750 to 1756. It also bears the crowned letter “N,” with a date precisely between July 1753 and July 1754. The silversmith’s mark “GN” stands for Guillaume Née, a Parisian silversmith.
