Crystal ball lamp for Baccarat by Jacques Adnet (1900-1984). Collaboration between Adnet and Baccarat (1925).
Jacques Adnet was a pioneer in combining metal and glass to create practical yet elegant and high-end furniture.
The lamp consists of a solid crystal ball that pivots freely on a circular base of patinated nickel-plated bronze.
This model is listed in the 1925 Baccarat catalog, model 7706. An example of this lamp is on display at the Baccarat Museum in Paris and at the museum in Baccarat. It is also featured in Rizzoli's book "Baccarat 250," page 352.
