La Fontaine's Fables, a set of 16 prints illustrating the various fables, drawn and engraved by J, Punt in 1758; engravings taken from a collection of fables selected and set to verse by Jean de La Fontaine, published by Elie Luzac in Leiden, 1761; the illustrations are based on Oudry’s drawings, which had originally been used for the large folio edition of 1755–1759; H. Cohen, in his guide for collectors of 18th-century illustrated books, notes that “all the engravings are very beautiful and highly sought after,”
mounted on a mat and set in a modern frame with an aged silver mold.
