Diaphragm-type Horn

American industrial warning horn (warning signal), manufactured in New York, first half of the 20th century, mechanically operated.
The inscription "Warning Signals" and its sturdy construction suggest that this is an industrial or railroad warning signal.
The rod at the back is designed to mechanically activate an internal mechanism.
This suggests a mechanical diaphragm siren or a warning signal used for:

  • industrial locomotives,
  • factories,
  • mines,
  • shipyards,
  • port facilities.
  • Dated between 1910 and 1940.
  • In working condition.
