Jean Chaintrier, 1933–2022, French painter, draftsman, and lithographer, born in Paris. Abstract artist. He began painting in 1961 and had his first group exhibition in 1972. His lithographs were presented at the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris as part of the exhibition “L’Estampe d’Aujourd’hui” in 1979. He held solo exhibitions in Paris in 1972, 1975, 1976, 1986, in Brussels in 1972, in Uppsala from 1974 to 1984, and in Rotterdam and Leiden in 1984. Artist listed in Bénézit, rated by Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc...
