Magnificent (very) large farmhouse or communal table with four drawers, featuring an H-shaped crossbar and turned Louis XIV legs, dating from the 18th century
removable tabletop secured with keys, designed to meet practical needs space, and hygiene in rural life at the time (the shelf was often placed outdoors to be soaped)
shelf assembled with dovetail joints
4 drawers opening with a ring; unfortunately, 3 drawer bodies were remade in the 19th century
in perfect condition, beautifully proportioned
