Glazed Ceramic Plate By Odette Dijeux,

Artist: Odette Dijeux
Glazed ceramic plaque, a unique piece by Odette DIJEUX, a Belgian ceramic artist from the 1950s.
This plaque depicts the four sons of Duke AYMON riding the fairy horse Bayard.
The sons of Duke AYMON, in conflict with CHARLEMAGNE following a game of chess, are forced to flee
on their fairy horse Bayard, who, according to legend, severed the "Devil's Rock" in Dinan with a single kick of his hoof.
A short text from an old document is affixed to the back.

Intaglio signature on the back.

A very beautiful plaque with remarkable relief and a radiant, beautiful glaze.
A lovely legend charmingly depicted by a talented artist.

Shipping costs outside France, price upon request.
