Longwy Enamel Dish “created By P. Mignon”

Artist: Paul Mignon

A large decorative dish in Longwy enamel, circular in shape, featuring an elegant polychrome floral design on a crackled turquoise background, characteristic of the prestigious Lorraine manufacturer. The composition features a flowering branch with delicate pink and white blossoms, accompanied by lush foliage in shades of green and a stylized blue ribbon elegantly unfurling.

This piece, signed by P. Mignon, was created in 1989 as part of an official commemorative commission. The reverse bears the Émaux de Longwy stamp, the date October 21, 1989, and the designer’s signature.

The quality of the hand-painted decoration, the delicacy of the enamels, and the superb crackled background attest to the renowned expertise of the Longwy workshops.
