History
- The company was founded in Lyon at the end of the XIXᵉ century by Henri Bouillet.
- In 1919, Laurent Bouillet joined forces with chiseler Bourdelle, giving birth to the Bouillet & Bourdelle brand.
- From 1924, the company moved to Villeurbanne, near Lyon, and developed a major production of table and cutlery goldsmiths.
- It became the owner of the Cailar-Bayard cutlery factory and enjoyed great success during the Art Deco period.
Reputation
- Bouillet Bourdelle is considered one of the important French silversmiths of the interwar period, with numerous Art Deco creations.
- The house notably made cutlery for the Concorde, which contributed to its fame
