Antique Wall Bracket In Carved And Gilded Wood, 18th Century
Small antique carved and gilded wood wall console, 18th century period, circa 1730-1750.
Very fine decorative composition featuring scrolls, scrolls, shells, acanthus leaves and foliate motifs. The console features a highly architectural construction, with a scrolled top with a moving edge, a belt carved with foliage and an openwork central support formed by wide lateral scrolls.
The carved decoration is particularly rich: wide scrolled brackets, ornate central console, leafy lower base, terminal shell and frieze of leaves under the top. The whole retains a beautiful antique gilding, with warm patina, visible wear and rework, giving great character to this decorative piece.
A highly decorative object, ideal for displaying a small bronze, a sculpture, a clock, a vase, a miniature or a collector's item. Its small size makes it easy to install in an entrance hall, living room, cabinet of curiosities or classic interior.
