An elegant three-drawer chest in painted wood with a wavy front, 18th century, Central Italy.
The painted decoration, in shades of sage green and ochre, is particularly refined, featuring floral motifs and rocaille scrolls, embellished with small bouquets of flowers. The top surface is painted to imitate marble. The handles are made of shaped wrought iron.
Requires minor touch-ups to the lacquer.
