Golden Carved Wooden Garland
A golden carved wooden garland from the 18th century. This ornament consists of two garlands of intertwined flowers, connected by trompe-l’oeil ribbons. The foliage is embellished with poppy fruits and flowers, a symbol of resurrection and eternal life. The composition in two interlaced rings could also be interpreted as a reference to marriage.
