Dancing faun from Pompeii in bronze with 19th century black crusty patina (reproduction from the antique), based on the dancing faun found in the House of the Faun between 1830 and 1832 in Pompeii (a Greek sculpture dating from the 1st-2nd centuries B.C.).
The original is preserved in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples ( inv.5002).).
The cast and patina respect the spirit of the original, and its size highlights the movement of this dancing faun.
Very decorative, beautiful quality of execution and patina.
