Large Silver Plated Serving Tray With Handles

Large silver-plated metal serving tray, presumed English origin, of rectangular form with rounded corners, fitted with two openwork side handles.

Fine guilloché bottom embellished with a central blank cartouche and decorative motifs at the corners.

Molded rim with rocaille-inspired decoration. The aesthetics, proportions and quality of workmanship suggest late 19th - early 20th century English production.

Very good overall condition and quite heavy with traces of use consistent with age.
